Title: Technical Assistance Manager, Division of Services Improvement
Description:
North Bethesda health and human services consulting firm seeks Technical Assistance Managers (TAMs) to work on Federal contract on drug abuse treatment strategies. The TAM works in a team to design long-term, overall technical assistance (TA) strategies and to design TA for community grantees. The goal is to take grantees to higher levels of performance/outcomes. The TAM assists senior experts in identifying trends in TA needs, analyzing what TA works and why, and identifying emerging issues across grantees. For TA to individual grantees, the TAM identifies consultants and peer mentors, develops TA plans and budgets, negotiates consultant rates, monitors TA implementation and costs, edits and finalizes TA reports, and analyzes TA evaluations. Some travel required.
Minimum Requirements:
Position requires (1) a master’s degree; (2) at least 5 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in the substance abuse field and in 1 or more grant program areas of recovery-oriented support services (HIV/AIDS; pregnant and postpartum women; services for women; criminal/juvenile justice; screening, brief intervention, referral, and treatment; Minority AIDS Initiative with American Indians/Alaska Natives; and business process reengineering in social service environments); and (3) 2 years’ experience in managing TA delivery and/or improving clinical services. Some supervisory experience preferred.
